El convertidor de fibra a Ethernet UFiber de Ubiquiti – UF-AE es un convertidor de medios de fibra a cobre Ethernet activo de 1 Gbps. Permitir a los ISP entregar fibra activa a las instalaciones del cliente y aun así conectar un dispositivo de red SOHO asequible que carece de puertos SFP. Su factor de forma compacto permite que el UF-AE se integre discretamente en cualquier entorno de hogar u oficina.
El uso de cable de fibra óptica para el transporte de datos reduce significativamente la interferencia electromagnética (EMI), la integridad de los datos también se mantiene permitiendo recorridos más allá de los 100 metros, el límite de Ethernet sobre el cable de par trenzado. El UF-AE entrega datos a largas distancias a alta velocidad utilizando fibra.
